The DIY Decorator
Zoe Gilpin is a professional Interior Decorator located in Perth and offers an online Decorating & E-design service. She works with large corporates and is also a supporter of small businesses.
I had an opportunity to collaborate with Zoe, and I'm thrilled to show you how she styled some Pick a Pear wall art prints in her home.
Throughout her Instagram and Facebook feeds Zoe will inspire you to give DIY a go, she creates mood boards, where to find homeware bargains, new product arrivals, home styling inspiration, share your style, and much, much more.
You will fall in love with her content and her keeping it real, quirky and humorous Instagram stories.... life being a mum, blogger and product stylist.
Updating a room is easy with the use of Pick a Pear artworks.
First step is to choose the art that will go with your style and colour palette.
Incorporate these colours and tones through to your pillows, throws, rugs, and accessories will complete the look.
Zoe selected the Decor Mandala in Sandstone for her bedroom which is a great fresh neutral colour that goes with items she already had. She framed the print with a natural timber frame with white matt board. This complimented the natural tones in her side table, the wooden chandelier, and other artworks above her bed. Keeping to the natural palette she added fresh white linen from Zanui and added mustard throws and cushions.
Adding fresh flowers, a candle, vase, and a book in complimenting colours gave warmth and texture to her bedroom.
Have you ever wondered how stylist get the look so perfect? When selecting display items think in groups of 3 and in various heights. Zoe chose the flowers in a vase for height, then added a candle and a small vase. Try it at home on your dining table, mantle piece, shelving, or side table.
Adding greenery to any room is always a winner. Whether it be indoor plants, artwork or both, it creates life and brings nature inside. Contrasting foliage and Living Art Prints adds interest to any space and can take centre stage.
Style your entrance way with pretty little things.
A wall rack with a couple of accessories featuring the Pick a Pear Protea wall art print creates a pop of colour and adds a point of difference to your entrance way.
I have noticed over the past year stylist creating these basket gallery walls. You will find baskets like these from thrift or variety shops. These will add texture, dimension, and an interesting dynamic to the room. Even if you don't have a huge collection of baskets you can display them in a gallery wall with artwork. Just remember to keep to a cohesive colour palette for it to work.
I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas on how to style some Pick a Pear art prints within your home and or office. Whether it be on a shelf, side table, or on a wall, I offer a wide range of art prints to style and display.
